Bettina Birch welcomes her guests to her farmhouse, perfect for families, on her fifteen acre certified organic farm as a quiet retreat, offering farm adventures and spectacular mountain views. She loves to share the wonder and lessons of nature with families who live in the city.
The gracious and warm farmhouse has a contemporary, rustic great room and well stocked kitchen, great for preparing and enjoying meals with family and friends. Gather organic fruits and vegetable in season to enhance meals and snacks. The farm house has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people. The master bedroom has a California king sized bed with a lovely sitting area with sofa and chairs. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. All bedding is the finest quality ensuring a comfy, cozy, restful sleep for guests. Relax with Night time moon bathing in the outdoor claw foot bathtub.
Children flourish and parents unplug in the natural farm setting. Harvest seasonal herbs, veggies and fruit or simply enjoy exploring the wonders of nature. The many inviting, seasonal gardens beckon a stroll with quiet sitting spots for contemplation or a nibble and a munch. Visit with the miniature donkeys, “Bayboy” the American mustang, and giggle with the ducks. Many first time fishermen (boys & girls) have caught their first fish in the seasonal pond (barbless hooks for catch and release only.) Stargazing with memorable meteor showers fill the night sky and delight the soul.
Bettina Birch. a pioneer who was co-founder of Flora Bella Farm in 1988, came to Three Rivers from Southern California with her husband and two small children. Together, the four of them built a dream, dug a road and a well, built a house and grew certified organic produce. In 1991, the dream morphed and Birch founded Bee Green Farm which grows specialty and heirloom fruits and vegetables including Persian mulberries, Blenheim apricots, ruby oranges, fuyu persimmons and a wide variety of herbs which are dried and packaged. Birch now spends much of her time mentoring inner city youth on sustainable living and the value of nutrition for healthy body and mind.
