Bettina Birch. a pioneer who was co-founder of Flora Bella Farm in 1988, came to Three Rivers from Southern California with her husband and two small children. Together, the four of them built a dream, dug a road and a well, built a house and grew certified organic produce. In 1991, the dream morphed and Birch founded Bee Green Farm which grows specialty and heirloom fruits and vegetables including Persian mulberries, Blenheim apricots, ruby oranges, fuyu persimmons and a wide variety of herbs which are dried and packaged. Birch now spends much of her time mentoring inner city youth on sustainable living and the value of nutrition for healthy body and mind. Sustainable living workshops are available by special request for guests. Enjoy a unique hands-on farm experience, from sowing to weeding to harvesting, cooking classes and wreath-making workshops.
